Who we are
Home Ed Report is operated as a sole trader by an Australian homeschooling family in Queensland under ABN 74 800 897 037. Independent : not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Queensland Home Education or any government body. Contact: hello@homeedreport.au.
What you get
For a one-off fee of AU$20 (incl. GST), you upload your photos, documents, and details, and we generate a Queensland Home Education annual report as a Word (.docx) file matching the regulator's published form. Yellow [ACTION REQUIRED] highlights mark anything the AI couldn't confidently fill : you finish those bits in Word before signing and posting.
How AI is used
Your uploaded photos and documents are sent to OpenAI's API to draft the report. The AI is instructed not to invent: where it doesn't have evidence for a claim, it emits an [ACTION REQUIRED] marker rather than making something up. You remain responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of anything you submit to QHE. Treat the output as a starting draft : review, edit, and add anything that is missing before you sign.
What we ask of you
- Only upload photos and documents about your own child.
- Review the generated report before you sign and submit it. The parent is the educator; the AI is a draft tool.
- Don't try to break, attack, or scrape the service.
Refunds
You preview the full report in the browser before paying. By paying, you accept the report as previewed. We refund only when the downloaded file is technically defective (won't open, content differs from the preview, file is corrupt), or where the Australian Consumer Law requires it. See the refunds page for the full policy.
Data and retention
Your uploads and the generated Word document are deleted after 7 days. The full data-handling policy is on the privacy page.
No legal or educational advice
Home Ed Report mirrors the published QHE form and procedure. We are not lawyers, education consultants, or QHE staff. Nothing produced by this tool is legal or educational advice. If a regulator pushes back on the report, the appropriate response is to revise it.
Liability
The Australian Consumer Law gives you guarantees that we cannot exclude. To the extent the law allows us to limit liability, our total liability for any single claim is capped at the amount you paid us : AU$20. If a bug causes a problem, we'll fix it and refund.
Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Disputes go to Queensland courts.
