Refunds

The short version

You preview the full report in the browser before paying. By paying, you accept the report as previewed. If the file you download is technically defective (won't open, content differs from the preview, file is corrupt), email hello@homeedreport.au with your order token and we will refund you in full.

When we will refund

  • The downloaded Word document will not open in Word, LibreOffice, or Pages.
  • The downloaded content materially differs from what you saw in the on-page preview before payment (this should never happen; the preview is generated from the same submission as the download).
  • The file is corrupt or truncated.
  • Any other failure under the Australian Consumer Law guarantees of fitness for purpose, due care and skill, or matching the description supplied at point of sale.

When we will not refund

  • You changed your mind after previewing and paying. Preview is the decision point; payment is acceptance.
  • The report contains [ACTION REQUIRED] markers. These are the tool working as designed: they flag the specific bits where the AI did not have evidence to draft from, so you can finish them in Word before signing.
  • You uploaded incomplete or unrelated material and the resulting report reflects that. The preview lets you see what you would get before you commit.
  • QHE pushed back on content you previewed, accepted, and submitted. Editing the report after download is your responsibility.

How long it takes

We action eligible refund requests within 48 hours of email. Funds typically appear back on your card within 5-10 business days, depending on Stripe and your bank.

Australian Consumer Law

The ACL guarantees apply regardless of anything written here. If the service is not as described, not fit for purpose, or not supplied with reasonable care and skill, you have rights under the ACL that we cannot exclude. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
